About this Website

Kia Ora, my name is Ella, and I am the creator of this website. However, this website is not about me!

My dad’s name is Erik, and this website is about and for him. Dad has always been the cook in the family, and I grew up with infinite amounts of delicious baking.

We have a large blue folder at home. Every sheet is filled with recipes, and there’s magazine cutouts and random notes flowing out the side! Dad has spent years curating this collection of recipes, and  editing him where he feels they need changing!

What I found when I moved overseas was that online substitutions for these recipes are simply not the same. So I have created a digital curation of some of Dad’s best and most used recipes. Most importantly, these recipes include every improvement that he has jotted down over the years.

I hope that this website allows other people, wherever they may be, to enjoy Dad’s sweet treats.

Dad’s Birthday!

Sometimes you get great opportunities and you just have to use them to the best of your ability. This website was created for a DTC assignment at WSU, and the due date lines up perfectly with Dad’s birthday. I knew exactly what I wanted to do as soon as the assignment instructions were read out.

It’s not a special number, but every year counts, happy 56th Dad!
