American Brownie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup plain flour – sifted
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa – sifted
  • 1 tsp baking powder – sifted
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
Brownie

Method:

1. Line Pyrex pie dish (bottom diameter 18-20cm) with Glad Wrap

2. Put sugar, eggs, and vanilla essence into a bowl and mix to incorporate. Add butter and mix to incorporate – do not over mix

3. Fold in sifted ingredients

4. Cook in microwave on high for 5 mins.

5. When cool, dust with sifted icing sugar

Note: my microwave is 600W. I put pie dish directly onto rotating turntable
